Figures checked against each source on 29 October 2026. How we check
We pass floor screeding requests from all 12 Leinster counties to one screeding contractor who covers your county. The table shows what's being built in each county, how old the housing is, and the EPA's radon results, the three things that most shape a new floor.
Across Leinster, 17,550 new homes were finished in the first nine months of 2026: 7,140 apartments, 8,837 scheme houses and 1,573 one-off houses.

What the figures mean for a floor
- Estates and apartments (Dublin, Kildare, Louth): large floors, often over underfloor heating, where a liquid screed's speed and thin cover count.
- One-off houses (Meath, Wexford, Kilkenny, Longford, Offaly): self-builds, where the screed's drying time shapes the programme.
- Older housing (Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Carlow): lime floors, levelling and bonded screeds where height is tight.
- Radon (Carlow, Wicklow, Wexford had the highest shares): the radon membrane goes under the floor build-up in High Radon Areas, required since 1 July 1998.
